Back-scratcher??

My AP tests are over, which means I'm free to relax and have fun. Mostly. Some teachers insist on still giving us tests and work... but to hell with that. I have nine days of instructional class time left.

Anyway, yesterday was really fun. I actually ventured out of my house after school for the first time in a few weeks. It was lovely. Who knew sunshine was so... sunny?

Over-dramatization.

I got frozen yogurt with friends, and even went to a hoppin' bon fire. It was a whole lot of social exposure, and pretty darn fun if I may say so. So here's a toast of sparkling apple cider to the beginning of an awesome summer, in which I only spend half of the time at home rocking out like a hermit. I mean, I do have quite a few things I want to do at home. Like watch a bunch of tv series I never got a chance to get into... and posting on this blog. Also exercise. My stellar Just Dance 3 moves could blind anyone who got close enough to see me clearly. Some things you just have to do on your own.

As for the title of this post, I'd like to give a shout out to Yesenia, the Royal Queen of Fabulous Back-rubs. As Queen, you are entitled to a cartoon version of yourself that bears little resemblance to your actual face.

Back-rubs/back-scratches are seriously one of the greatest things on earth. I don't know why, but when someone scratches that one spot on your back that you never even knew existed... it's like your entire body falls into a pool of metal beads like that 5 Gum commercial, and when you breathe in everything feels like sleepiness and time travel. I don't know what time travel feels like, but my guess is it involves a lot of spiraling, spinning lines that can hypnotize you into a stupor of pleasant mindlessness.

As a totally unrelated side-note, chickens are much more adorable than I expected. As for chicken fights (aka shoulder wars)... don't try them on land. Bad idea.

Life lessons with the gang. <3

(photo of me with a chicken to be added once it is put up online)

  1. LOL! I'm glad your exams are over...that'll probably be me next year. Did I tell you that I got into my school? I'll be in Massachusetts but not at Andover. Can you believe it's almost been a year??
